WHAT IS MARKETPLACE?

Madewell Marketplace offers a curated selection of brands and makers we love. These partners handle fulfillment and customer service for all items sold.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M ORDERING A MARKETPLACE ITEM?

Marketplace items are identified on the product page and at checkout.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER BRANDED ITEMS?

Madewell Marketplace items will ship directly from our partners in separate packaging. Please allow approximately 2 business days for Marketplace orders to ship. Return instructions and customer service contact information will be enclosed in your package. All returns must be sent directly back to the seller and will not be accepted at Madewell stores or our distribution center. Madewell Insiders qualify for free standard shipping and free returns on Marketplace items.

WILL I BE CHARGED FOR THE RETURN?

For Madewell Insiders, return shipping is free if items are returned within 30 days. For all others, the cost of return shipping, $7.50 for any number of items, will be deducted from your refund.

HOW LONG UNTIL I SEE MY REFUND?

Once our Marketplace partner processes the return, you can expect to receive your credit in 3–5 business days.

WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY FOR A MARKETPLACE ITEM?

Our Madewell Marketplace partners accept returns of unworn, unwashed, undamaged or defective merchandise that has been shipped to a U.S. address for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of original purchase. For more details, please see our Returns Policy.

We are sorry, but we cannot ship Marketplace items internationally.

DO MARKETPLACE ORDERS COUNT TOWARDS MY MADEWELL INSIDER STATUS?

Yes, purchases of Marketplace items count toward your Madewell Insider Program tier status.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY MARKETPLACE ITEM(S)?

Unfortunately, Marketplace items cannot be exchanged. Please reach out directly to our Marketplace partner to initiate a return and place a new order.

CAN MARKETPLACE ORDERS BE GIFT WRAPPED/MONOGRAMMED?

Unfortunately, Marketplace items cannot be gift wrapped or monogrammed.
